The Damage" Vinyl Release Date: 20.September 2019 Das dritte Soloalbum von Bronski Beat und Communards Sänger Jimmy Somerville. Anlässlich des 20-jährigen Jubiläums wird 'Manage The Damage' erstmals auf Vinyl veröffentlicht. inklusive der Single 'Something To Live For' und 'Lay Down', Somerville benutze dafür ein Sample von Brigitte Bardot's 'Contact' (geschrieben von legendären Französischer Sänger und Songwriter, Serge Gainsbourg) Gepresst auf 180 g schweres weißes Vinyl,in einer bedruckten Innenhülle. 12. September 1983 hatten Bronski Beat ihren ersten Auftritt im Heaven in
London. Am 12. September 2018 geben London Records die Veröffentlichung
einer neuen und verbesserten Version des bahnbrechenden Debüts Age Of
Consent bekannt, das von den ursprünglichen analogen Tonbändern neu
gemastert und als Zwei-CD-Set und Picture-Disc erhältlich ist. Mit den
ikonischen Artwork-Dateien wandte sich London Records längst an Bruce Gill,
dessen Vater die Originaldesigns schuf, und zusammen mit seinem Vater den
Albumtext neu geschrieben und an einem neuen Layout für CD, Vinyl und
Picture Disc gearbeitet hat. Die Neuauflage ist erstmals seit ihrer
ursprünglichen Veröffentlichung in einer limitierten Auflage als Rosa-Vinyl,
CD und Picture-Disc auf Vinyl erhältlich. Die Vinyl-Formate beinhalten eine
CD mit Album und Bonustracks.CD1 enthält neu gemasterte Versionen der zehn Original-Tracks sowie 12"-Versionen der Singles 'Why?', 'Smalltown Boy', 'It Ain't Necessarily So' und 'I Feel Love'. CD2 besteht aus Material aus dem London Records-Archiv, das bisher nicht verfügbar war, mit dem unveröffentlichten und noch nie gehörten Demo 'The Other Side Of The Tracks'. Neue Remixe von Wax Wings, Arnaud Rebotini - Komponist des Films '120 BPM' und dem britischen House-Produzenten KDA alias Kris Di Angelis. Bronski Beat hat eine Mini-Website ins Leben gerufen, auf der Fans ihre Geschichten und Erinnerungen an 'Smalltown Boy' teilen können, inspiriert von den vielen Anekdoten, die auf ihren Social-Media-Seiten geteilt wurden. September 12th 2018 and London Records announce the release of a new and enhanced version of the band’s groundbreaking debut Age Of Consent re-mastered from the original analogue tapes and available as a two CD set and picture disc. With the iconic artwork files long since lost London Records turned to Bruce Gill, whose father created the original designs, and along with his Dad redrew the album text and worked on a new layout for CD, vinyl and picture disc. The reissue is available on vinyl for the first time since its original release and limited edition pink vinyl, CD and picture disc. Vinyl formats include a CD of album & bonus tracks. CD1 features re-mastered versions of the original ten tracks along with 12” versions of singles ‘Why?’, ‘Smalltown Boy’ and ‘It Ain’t Necessarily So’. CD2 is comprised of material from the London Records archive, previously un-available with most notably the un-released and unheard demo ‘The Other Side Of The Tracks’. Remixes by new kid on the block Wax Wings, Arnaud Rebotini – composer of the movie ‘120 BPM’ which featured his take on Smalltown Boy – and British house producer KDA aka Kris Di Angelis. Bronski Beat have launched a Mini-Website for fans to share their stories and memories of 'Smalltown Boy.’ Inspired by the many anecdotes shared on their social media pages the quotes will be used to make a video piece about the track.
